All 1963 Corvettes came with a 327 cubic inch engine. Horse power ranged from 250 to 360, depending on intake, heads & exhaust.

This particular example was a base model (250 hp) - nothing fancy until you realize only 700 or so of the 10,000 coupes sold in '63 were base models.

Regardless of motor, the vents on top of the fiberglass hood were fake - thin aluminum plates with embossed rectangles, and painted semi-gloss black.
